The trend for dip-dyed hair doesn’t seem to be slowing down and personally, I am loving it. Easier to wear than a full mane of colour, dip dying your ends in hues of pink, purple, blue or red is a great pick me up for anyone who is easily bored with their hair. Once it’s bleached out, you can change the colours as your mood dictates. Sick of it already? Chop and go!
Do something different this weekend and celebrate with rich, deep smoky eyes in eye-popping jewel tones. Think emerald greens, ruby reds, plums and violets. Steer clear of the pre-teen chunks of glitter (unless you are Daria Werbory posing for an editorial shoot in Vogue) and stick to subtle shimmers and metallics. Keep it wearable by lining your bottom lashes with an eyeliner brush dipped in the same colour as your lids.
Brightly coloured hair used to belong to the punks, the harijuku girls and the ravers but the past year has seen coloured hair peppered throughout the pages of your favourite fashion glossy. Less neon green and more softly spun shades of fairy floss, unnaturally coloured locks are for the bold at heart. And those lucky enough to be working in the creative industry where having a lilac mane isn’t seen as inappropriate.
