The Yes To Carrots brand has been one of the favoured cruelty free cosmetics brands in the market for a while. But suddenly, they were no longer registered with PETA, no longer using their logo and customers were left confused. Several conflicting responses were received from various Yes To representatives and marketing statements on their websites and social media. What happened?
Well, the good news is that the Yes To brand, including all their ranges, are now listed back on PETA’s Does Not Test On Animals list. Thanks to Tashina from Logical Harmony and her amazing and diligent work we can finally shed some light on what was happening.
As with anything you read on the internet, it is imperative that you do your own research and come to your own conclusions. Logical Harmony is one of the resources I use when forming an opinion on my cosmetic choices however I also emailed the brand and received positive responses. I urge you to read her post here for a detailed account of her correspondence with PETA and Yes To that lead to this discovery.
I also asked for a list of vegan-friendly products and the great news is that there are plenty! Below is a list of products from the Yes To ranges that contain animal products and therefore should be avoided if you are following a vegan lifestyle (yay you!):
